The EPEAT label was established to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants and to make it easy for consumers to identify and purchase energy and environmentally efficient products.
In addition to requiring Energy Star status, EPEAT criteria also establish requirements that address End-of-Life/Recycling, product take-back services, auto duplexing, mandatory disclosure of supply chain toxins, utilization of recycled materials in the production of new devices, and much more.
